Who is this conference for?
This conference is intended for medical professionals who desire to learn Spanish with an emphasis on medical terminology. The course will take place in an immersion setting while earning Continuing Education Credits.
Where is this conference being held?
Medical Studies Abroad is currently offering the study of medical Spanish at the Crocodile Bay Resort on the Osa Peninsula. (The faculty are professors from ULACIT(Latin American University of Science and Technology) who are experienced in teaching Spanish as a second language. There will be a multitude of opportunities for participants to practice using the language in a mock medical setting.

Fees
Course Registration:
$895.00 for physicians
$745 for nurses
Lodging:
- $2520 per person, double occupancy.
- $2300 per person, triple occupancy (most rooms sleep up to 5 people)
- $1260 for children 12 and under, sharing a room with two adults.
- $1000 single supplement, on a space available basis.
- $425 for optional fishing days (One fishing day is included for the May/June Conference)
Children 13 and over are considered adults.
Lodging Fee Includes:
- 6 nights at Crocodile Bay Resort & Spa
- Up to 2 nights at Hotel Melia Cariari, San Jose, Costa Rica or equivilant, depending on availability.
- $125 Ecotour or Spa Credit at Crocodile Bay Resort PER DAY for activities. This is not valid for Fishing Excursions.
- All meals at Crocodile Bay Resort, including domestic soft drinks, wine and beer.
- Breakfast at the Melia Cariari (or other equivilant San Jose hotel) between 6 am and 9:30 am.
- Round Trip Scheduled flights between San Jose and Puerto Jimenez(Crocodile Bay Resort) on NatureAir.
- All airport-hotel ground transfers with Crocodile Bay Resort Drivers.

Additional Fishing Days:
$425 per person, per day, based on two per boat for Standard Inshore Boat fishing or four per boat for 33 ft. Offshore Strike Boat.
Add $100 per day for Children 12 and under and under if minimums above are met.
Fishing is optional and should be reserved when booking the trip.

CANCELLATION POLICY
CANCELLATIONS, TUITION REFUNDS:
Payment for course and hotel is required at time of registration.
The cancellation fee is $250 per person if received in writing 90 days prior to scheduled arrival. Please contact Crocodile Bay for their cancellation policies.
AIRFARE REFUNDS:
Airfare to Costa Rica is the responsibility of the registrant. Refunds are subject to the policies of the airlines with which you are booked. Airfare and transfers within Costa Rica are included in the price of the lodging. Passports are required for both adults and children, valid for at least three months from the date of arrival.

RESPONSIBILITY: The study seminar outlined herein will be carried out under the business management of Medical Studies Abroad. Medical Studies Abroad and its agents provide booking of the hotel accommodations and activities as a convenience to our students. Medical Studies Abroad will hold itself free from responsibility with regards to hotel accommodations, tours, motor coach, car, and any other means of transportation, damages, strikes, loss, change of schedule, and/or inconvenience to passengers and belongings.
