Getting To Crocodile Bay in Costa Rica
Costa Rica has two major airports. For Crocodile Bay, you will need to fly into the capitol city of San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO). You will be greeted at the airport by uniformed Crocodile Bay employees. They will transport you to your accomodations and to the transfer flight on NatureAir to Crocodile Bay Resort located near the Southern town of Puerto Jimenez.
Getting to San Diego, California
The Catamaran Resort Hotel is located in close proximity to the San Diego International Airport (SAN). You may rent a car or hire a cab to transfer to the hotel.
Getting to Tamarindo Diria Hotel in Guanacaste, Costa Rica
The Tamarindo Diria Hotel is most easily reached by flying into Costa Rica's other major airport, the Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR), in Liberia, Costa Rica. At the time you book your hotel reservation, you should also ask for a transfer from the airport. Liberia and Guanacaste are approximately 50 miles apart.

August Conference will be held at the Catamaran Resort Hotel in San Diego, California.
October Conference will be held at the Tamarindo Diria Beach and Golf Resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Crocodile Bay:
Crocodile Bay is an all-inclusive resort (except for the optional fishing days). This means that you will have up to $125/day/person to spend on ecotours and spa indulgences. Some of the most popular ecotours are:

1. Do I need a passport?
A valid passport is necessary to enter and exit Costa Rica and must be valid for 3 months from the date of arrival.
2. Which airport do I use?
San Jose (SJO) is the most convenient airport for Crocodile Bay.
Liberia (LIR) is closest to Guanacaste.
3. Do I need a Visa?
Not if you are a U.S. citizen and staying in the country less than 90 days.

6. Is the water drinkable?
The water is potable in most parts of the country but it is recommended that you buy bottled water.

9. Is tipping expected?
Most restaurants will include a 10% service charge on the bill. Taxi drivers generally do not receive a tip. If you are satisfied with the service you receive, hotel maids, tour guides and drivers would appreciate a tip. Taxis: Ask the staff at the hotel to recommend a reputable taxi company
10. How do I call a taxi?
When using taxi services, verify that they comply with the legally established requirements such as yellow triangles printed on the doors and a meter. Always ask the staff at your hotel to call a taxi for you from a reliable company.
11. What if I lose my passport?
Be proactive before your trip and make several copies of your passport and keep it in a separate location such as a safe deposit box at the hotel. Also, scan a copy in advance of your trip, if possible, and send it to a personal yahoo, MSN or other email address that you can access in case of a misplaced passport.
12. What should I pack?
Sunscreen, bug repellant, swimsuit, light jacket for evening, waterproof shoes, wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, first aid kit, including any medications you use often.
13. Are there ATMs available to make withdrawals in local currency?
